Analysis of Music Websites

Learning Comment

From this task i have learnt about the codes and conventions of different music websites. I have also learnt about how different genres and how their websites are different and similar. All of the websites i looked at have the navigation bar at the top of the screen, this is because it is easy to see and easy to access. Pop genre websites have brighter colours and a picture of the artist. However, heavy metal websites have drakes colours and have the album cover on their homepage.

Lip Sync Battle

In this task i am going to be doing a Lip Sync to the song You make my dreams by Hall and Oats. I will be filming the lip sync by filming someone mouthing the words to the song. I will then edit it so that the clip has no sound. I will add the original song over the top and try to make it fit well together so it seems like i am actually singing the song.

Learning Comment

From this task i have learnt that it is hard and takes a lot of time to match up lip syncing and the song when editing. There are many issues that can occur when filming a lip sync video. One major issue is that you could be mumbling when the recording takes places. You need to make sure that you are over pronouncing your words. This is so that it is clear and obvious what you are lip syncing.

History of Music Videos

Learning Comment

From doing this task I have learnt about the evolution of music videos and how they have changed over the years. I have learnt that it is now easier to listen to music and watch music videos due to things like MTV and YouTube being made. Due to the fact it is easier to watch music videos it means that songs are being listened to more. I have also learnt about how the style of music videos are different and how they have changed. For example, music videos now focus more on the narrative of the video rather than the music and performance itself.
